SunRizr Dawn Simulator is a soft, soundless and natural alarm clock to let you wake feeling refreshed. Light will enter the eyelids which triggers the wake cycle for the body, as well as the release of Cortisol. Once the light reaches its full brightness level, the sleeper can wake up with no need for an alarm clock.
SunRizr Dawn Simulator light source is much lower than bright light therapy at 100 to 300 lux, but some people with SAD will use one or both types of Light Therapy. Studies seem to be divided on which one is best, if you were to choose only one. Dawn simulation may be easier for the busy person as it is done by the time you are ready to get up and start your day.
SunRizr Dawn Simulator has a fixed duration dawn of 45 minutes and a (manually-started) dusk of 15 minutes. Small enough to travel with you anywhere, the sunRizr works with 120 volt lamps, and is rated for up to 400 watts. It accepts one two-prong polarized plug.
