The PoolKeeper 128D by Marpac

Marpac PoolKeeper 128DThere are many joys to owning a swimming pool, especially during the crushing heat of the summer. It’s so relaxing to be able to just go out into your own backyard and splash around with your friends or family. The kids love it as well – it’s a great way for them to have fun without having to leave the house. There is only one problem; maintenance and upkeep. Some of it is to be expected. It’s not really that big of a hassle to have a pool cleaner come out once every few months to make sure everything is running in good order. However, there is one aspect of maintaining your pool that requires nearly constant attention and can be much more of a hassle than you’d realize: keeping the water level full.

Even if your pool doesn’t have any leaks whatsoever, it will lose water over time. First of all, the effects of evaporation are extremely noticeable. Especially if you are using the pool during daylight hours, you’ll be losing a lot more water to evaporation than you would expect. The water that you see splash out the side of the pool whenever you are playing around may not seem like that big of a deal either, but it adds up to a considerable amount fairly quickly. Combine those two water loss factors with several other small problems, and the fact that many pools may have a tiny leak that isn’t noticeable to the eye, and you’re losing quite a bit of water each day. This means that you also have to put in quite a bit of water each day. The typical way to do this is to drag your hose up to the side of the pool, throw it in, turn the water on and watch it until it gets just high enough, and then turn the water back off before your pool gets to the point where it might overflow. It’s quite a tedious process, especially due to the fact that you have to do it on such a regular basis.

The perfect solution to this problem is quite simple: the PoolKeeper 128-D from Marpac. It is an automatic pool level monitor! All you have to do is attach your garden hose to the PoolKeeper and let the small device hang over the edge of your pool. Whenever the water level goes down below a certain level, it will automatically turn the water on. Whenever it reaches the desired level again, it will automatically shut the water off for you as well.

Buying something like the PoolKeeper 128-D is not just a convenience factor – it also helps protect your pool from damage. Why risk damaging the motors on your pool’s water pump? The PoolKeeper doesn’t cost much at all, and you’ll quickly realize it’s worth whenever you realize that you don’t have to stop what you’re doing to go outside and refill the pool. Don’t let owning a swimming pool become a hassle for you – leave all the work up to the Marpac PoolKeeper!
