Traveling can be quite a stressful experience. There are tons of details to see to such as transportation and lodging, and you are usually on a pretty tight schedule, especially if the trip is mainly for business purposes. You’ll wind up in your hotel room absolutely exhausted, and yet due to stress, or perhaps the fact that your biological clock is all confused thanks to jet lag, you have trouble falling asleep. If you’re someone who travels a lot, this story may be quite a common experience for you. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be. Thankfully, you can get portable sound therapy devices that are designed to help you relax and fall asleep, even if you are far away from home. One of the best portable sound therapy machines available is the Sound Oasis S-850.
For a portable device, the Sound Oasis S-850 has a great variety of sounds to choose from – 17 in total. This is more than some full feature non-portable units have; if you really wanted to, you could use this model both abroad and at home! With sounds ranging from the ever popular classic white noise to the vivid and lush sounds of a deep forest, you won’t ever be lacking for variety with this sound therapy device. One of the sound effects, though, is especially noteworthy. It is a patented jet lag reduction sound – a secret blend of effects and sound waves that have been carefully orchestrated to help reduce the effects of jet lag. You can easily adjust the volume of any of these high quality sounds to your liking with the fine-tuned volume control.
When it comes to portability, the Sound Oasis S-850 has everything you need. First of all, it’s very small and lightweight. It could easily fit into any small bag or even in your pocket if you really wanted to keep it close at hand. Although it does come with the option and cable for a wired AC energy source, it also supports battery power – allowing you to take it wherever you go, whether or not there will be a power plug available. There is a headphone port as well, which is especially useful if you want to use the device around other people but you don’t want to bother them with audible noise. If you’d prefer not to use headphones, though, you’ll surely be impressed by the quality of the speakers as well – so no need to lug around any extra equipment. If you are going to be packing your device in your luggage, there is an included travel pouch which can help you protect the machine from spills, scratches, or any other damage that could easily take place over long periods of traveling.
If you travel at all, having a portable sound therapy device is a great way to ensure that you get the sleep and relaxation that you need to unwind from a busy and hectic travel schedule. You’ll likely find that you are able to be more alert at business meetings or in a better mood for fun vacation activities if you’ve gotten a great night of sleep beforehand.

Sleep is extremely valuable to anyone's health, whether or not they'd like to admit it. As society turns into a busier and busier place, sleep is something that people are getting less and less of as well. Although some of the sleep loss is truly due to lack of time, most of it is due to bad scheduling and problems falling asleep. The worries of the economy, the stress of a day at work, or the regret of a bad decision are all things that can keep people from falling asleep at night. It's not that they don't want to go to sleep - it's that they can't fall asleep! There are medications out there to help with sleep problems, but sleeping pills may actually cause more problems in the long run. Thankfully, there is a better solution available than pills. It's all natural and much more cost effective - sound therapy. And with systems such as the Sound Oasis Travel Sound Therapy, you can take it with you wherever you go.
The Sound Oasis S-850 Travel Sound Therapy System is a full featured item for anyone to use while on the road, but with so many features, it's perfect for at-home use as well. This is much better than your typical white noise sleep machine. Unlike other models with only four or five sounds to choose from, the Sound Oasis model provides 17 high quality ambient sounds to choose from. Whether you're interested in the gentle rainfall of springtime or the constant bubbling of a quiet stream, there's bound to be at least one of the sounds on this system that will sooth your mind and lull you quickly to sleep.
One feature of this system that is extremely helpful is the headphone jack. Many people who would absolutely love to use a sleep therapy system are unfortunate enough to be married to someone who prefers to sleep in dead silence. With headphones, you no longer have to worry about what your spouse thinks of nighttime noises. Also, since this great little system can run off of four "AA" batteries, you could even use it to help you fall asleep on public transportation without having to worry about bothering those sitting around you.
Speaking of travel, this thing is small. Not only can you fit this thing in your carry on luggage bag at the airport, you could even place it inside a large pocket on your coat or carpenters jeans if you'd like. The Sound Oasis S-850 even provides you with a nice durable travel pouch to protect the screen and speaker system during travel. If you take this along with you, there's no need to bring an alarm clock, as this will do the job just fine as well. It really is a great way to save space!
From the small size and low cost to the huge selection of sounds, this sleep therapy system is sure to sooth the restless minds of anyone who has trouble falling asleep. If you have sleeping problems, I highly encourage you to consider this relatively small investment. Although sleep may not be bought or sold on the stock market, it's value to your health will only increase as you age. This sleep therapy system is truly something that can increase your quality of life on a daily basis.

If you travel a lot, then you definitely need to buy a white noise machine. These little devices are sworn upon by many travelers, and allow for you to block out any noises that may be bothering you. Technically speaking, white noise machines don’t produce actual white noise. That would be far too harsh to actually allow for the benefits experienced. Instead, they produce a softer noise, called “pink” noise. This has less of a harsh tone, and allows for the many positives that noise machine users attest to. If have been considering buying one yourself, read on to find out what they can do for you. How many times have you been faced with unwanted noise while traveling? Maybe the people in the next room are drunk and watching the TV at full volume while you want to sleep. Maybe you’d like to sleep in, but you’re being awakened by the local wildlife whose noises you have not learned to ignore yet. Or maybe you just want to take a nap on an airplane. The reason you can’t sleep in all of these situations is that you are being faced with a dynamic sound that is constantly changing. When the sound changes slightly, your brain pays attention to it to make sure it’s not important. The trick of a white noise machine is keeping the same noise with you at all times, and getting used to it. In order for the white noise machine to work best, you should start using it whenever you sleep. It may bother you the first few nights, but eventually you will grow accustomed to having its constant hiss, and it will even become slightly comforting. You start at a low volume in situations where you don’t need to drown anything out. At this low volume, your ears will get used to the new sound. Then, when you’re in a situation where you need to drown out some noise, you can crank up the volume and still get to sleep well. Due to the popularity of white noise machines, you should have no problem whatsoever finding one that suits your needs. There are machines available in all forms. The most popular models for travel are the Marpac Marsona TSC-330 and Marpac SleepMate 980. You can get integrated alarm clock white noise machines with advanced features such as timing and frequency, or you can get simple battery-powered machines that are small and portable. If you’ve ever had trouble sleeping in an unfamiliar location, then you should consider getting a white noise machine so that next time you can be prepared. Copyright, All Rights Reserved.
