I usually try to get 8 hours of sleep.  For the most part I do get 8 hours of good sleep, except the occaisional late night tends to throw my sleep schedule off.  The one thing I know when I don't get a good night sleep I tend to have a lot on my mind and can't stop thinking about it, those are tough nights as I lay there tired but can't sleep.

I'd say around 9 hrs if I don't have to wake up for anythin. The only time I lose sleep is when I shift my sleep schedule to an earlier time.

I typically fall under the 4 - 5 hour range lately.  I've been trouble sleeping because I have been so involved with my work it keeps me up until all hours of the night and I tend to wake up early because I'm excited to start my day.

I know I need some more hours of sleep, ideally I'd like to fall in the 7 - 8 hour range.

That's good that you look forward to starting your day even though you don't get a good amount of sleep.

It is great that you look forward to starting your day, that generally happens to me in the summer.  I love the weather and everything about summer so I always want to be doing something.  When its like that sleep doesn't even seem it matters.  It also happens to me when I have my personal or business projects I'm working on just don't want to stop working on it and get up early to work on it some more.

Wow. I wish I got that amount of sleep. 3-4 hours a night here, definitely finding ways to get more!

I used to be able to get 3-4 hours of sleep.  It was fine for a while then it really started to catch up to me.  There would times where I just couldn't stay awake at work and stuff.  It felt like it took a long time to get back to a normal sleeping pattern.

I'm well rested as long as I get my 6-7 hour a night.  I usually get enough as long as I don't stay out late or something.  My schedule is pretty much set.  And when I don't get enough I really feel terrible all day.

I'm pretty sure I get enough sleep.  I sleep a lot I have a evening job and usually get like 10 hours of sleep.  I work from 6pm to about 2am and then get to bed after that till about noon.  I love my sleep.  If I can't get my sleep I'll definitely take naps, not at work usually on my days off.

sqk,

I think a lot of people don't get more than 6-7 hours a sleep nowadays.  People are working more and more and life is busy for many is my opinion.
