White or Pink Noise Machines

I have great frequency loss in both ears making certain sounds extremely annoying.  I recently moved into a condo and had no problems with noice.  Several weeks ago, there has been a buzzing noise that comes and goes - maintenance has determined that it is probably from the boiler and the sound is traveling through the cement walls.  Needless to say it is extremely annoying.  I don't want to hate my new home so I looking for advice on a white or pink noise machine that will block the buzzing/humming noise.  It should be a plug-in device.  Any advice would be appreciated.

I would try the Marpac SleepMate 980.  This is a good quality white noise machine that you can adjust the pitch of the white noise to offer you the most relief.  Try one and see if this helps your situation if not you are welcome to send it back.
