Conceptual Design For Light Therapy Unit

I am looking to design a new light therapy unit for the treatment of SAD and other unrelated skin disorders. I was wondering if you any of you have any experiences with SAD that may help me in the design - e.g. what you look for in a light therapy skin unit.
