Marpac Dohm SS (formerly known as the SleepMate 580A Sound Conditioner)

Marpac SleepMate has been used for 40 years by people with "unusual" sleep patterns. Shift-workers who must sleep during the daylight hours, for new-borns and infants over night or at nap time, apartment and dorm residents with noisy neighbors, and many others. The Dohm SS by Marpac is the "Single Speed" version of the Dohm DS. This means this unit only has the "high speed" sound setting (this is the only difference in the two units). The Marpac SleepMate 580A and 980A are both available in a durable plastic housing suitable for travel, use in the home or office. This Marpac unit is the Dohm SS which is the "exact" same product as the SleepMate 580A or SoundScreen 580A.

Blocks out outside noises	December 6, 2012

I love my sound machine! I live with parents who can be a bit noisy at 6am.. My Marpac blocks out their tv and all the "extra" noises in the kitchen. My Mom is even interested in getting one now!

This is our 3rd sound machine. The first one we had was already 10 years old when it went to our daughter when she was born. The 2nd one was ours until our son was born last month. The 3rd one is ours and will be for a long time. They last a long time. We have been using them for the last 15 years, SMD has been a great company to purchase from. It is great to see a MN based company doing such a great job. Thanks again for a great product.
